@atheist
Did I hit a nerve? fellow salaryman?
You live in London, UK?
Infested with muslims and pajeets and shitskins.
You'll never own a house there unless your grandma owns one. Life must be grim. English people don't start companies at all lol.
Go to school, GCSE, A levels and what job forever? peasants.
Enjoy your shit salary, high cost of living and PRET coffee and mcdonalds on fridays. -
Did it and failed. We had a lot of talent but we were arrogant, thinking that it's all that mattered. We had a cool name though: Sistema
-
@sidthepajfuk we were young and stupid. But we did almost everything right. We registered the business, had a business tax number and permit, all the things required to run a business.

earlier today I heard something fascinating that explained everything
the pay you get is for the amount of damage you can do
which explained everything
making someone successful software? they don't pay shit cuz they aren't afraid of damage you can do
once the product is established suddenly they realize damage people can do, and pay them well after realizing that fact. but they also don't really have seniors do any real work. the manager / boss has tons of power, but doesn't do anything. and that's what they want. they want you to be too incompetent to do any damage. that's why you get paid the big bucks. to just sit there. and do nothing
even damned salaries are fear-based. d'oh. I felt like my job was just calming the neurosis of my manager... well turns out you get hired by HR/C for the same reason -- calming their neurosis of how much damage you can do
hell I even saw my former roommate discriminate against a political candidate for being "too smart", aka he could do damage -
My life story mate. I have more failed companies than years of working... Not really proud of it, but yeah...
-
not everyone has the money for investment nor the means to survive if they fail the business (which btw is 97% of startups)

fruitfcker28714h@jestdotty we didn't have something to show for. We didn't have a product or built anything yet. We were supposed to provide custom tailored software but we didn't have anything, not even mockup.
Having a job is really cool. Cooler if it's high paying.
But how many of you have the balls to create your own companies and just have a fucking go at it.
Even if it fails, I'd respect you.
