Quick question about resumes. Is it ok to talk about personal projects directly on them? I was always told to wait until the interview, but 57 resumes sent later, no interview...

Focus on relevant skills and your strongest projects. Make the CV short, and put your pitch in the cover letter, where you have to acknowledge what appears as your weaknesses and re-assure that despite those, you're THE BEST. The rest comes in the interview.

wow, if you sent 57 resumes without response there's something wrong... do you call why you've got rejected and what could be improved?

@AndSoWeCode So to clarify, I am allowed to say something like, "Even though I have little official work experience, I have build x that contains skill y that I believe would be very valuable to your company." I was given arbitrary rules in high school, so I don't want to do something horribly wrong

@owithg yeah, but do that in a cover letter. It's not a rule or anything. It's just something that I personally found as efficient. It shows that you are aware of your limitations and are willing to work on improving what you must, or compensate, or whatever.
