My former co-worker was sitting right next to me and one day he bought Das Keyboard. He was so kind giving me a pair of earplugs.

Because I'm broke and can't afford das. Cheap keyboard ftw!

just ordered a das keyboard 4 ultimate mechanical keyboard. anyone already using it that can validate my spending?

Hey Fellows. I'm about to buy a new keyboard because my current one decided to say goodbye today. But I'm not sure which one i should take. My current favourite is "Das Keyboard 4 Professional".

What Keyboards are you guys using and why ?

I used to associate logitech with quality, something you could spend a little more on and feel comfortable knowing you made a safe and robust choice.

For quite a few years now they've done that gamer branding thing where I'd be embarrassed to have that stuff seen on my desk - at ridiculous prices and for features I won't use. Their consumer/office grade stuff is alright but unremarkable.

I'll gladly pay more for quality and I'm super happy with my Das keyboard, but I switch out my mouse probably every year. I can't deal with mushy buttons and I'm not paying extra for marketing, branding, and rgb lights that I'll then be spending time on trying to disable properly.

I digress, but I'm legitimately curious to try a trackball. I know people kneejerk at it, but I've heard from a couple of people who prefer it when they primarily use their keyboard anyway.

Suggestions for a good mechanical keyboard < $100.

I got a very cheap basic one for my home office and it's amazing to type on! It's very loud so I don't want to bring it to work and it was pretty cheap so I'm not sure how it will hold up to 8-10 hours of programming a day. I'd like to get one for the office, as a treat to myself for my promotion, but most of the suggestions I've gotten so far have been to drop $160 on Das Keyboard. I'd love to but I can't drop that much on a keyboard now.

What's everyone's experiences with Das Blank Keyboards?
