You know what really grinds my gears?
Seeing a 5-line comment, that have absolute no value, for a variable declaration.

Honestly, this was the hardest part of the report since it required very thorough data cleaning, and it turns out developer teams use a wide variety of tools, especially when it comes to testing and project management.

People rant here about how they hate documenting things or writing tests or whatever.
Yes these things are not the most interesting but I have a feeling that we are forgetting about most horrendous of tasks - estimating. Especially in agencies. Especially related to altering legacy features. Especially big projects.
I mean, I'm spending time doing something that is basically dev's Voo Doo, hoping that I will be right... and usually I'm not.6 -
My pm requested me to estimate few tasks on a new project(single page app), the problem was that he was creator of these tasks, so we ended up with
- Create back button
- Create next button
- Create table with contents
... etc
As I prefer to take things literally I estimated each task as they literally should (5 min for adding buttons etc). So all tasks together were estimated for about 5h, while whole project was estimated for 100MD. After few talks and discussions we ended up with:
- Create back button
- Create back button logic
- Create next button
- Create next button logic

Is it just me or JavaScript on the browser really has become over complicated then it should be? It’s way overkill for the job that it’s supposed to do. Every time I hear about these new frameworks and I see the guys just loving it I cringe so hard, I want to say something then I stop because they are loving it sooo much. It’s a disaster I hate looking at the front end it’s a huge pile of fancy shit.6

Google has flagged a document in my drive, saying that it is violating its terms of service.
The document is just a digital logic and computer design book.

Just had a Skype call that explained a Skype chat about the fact that I can't do anything on a task, because we are waiting for another (external) dev do finish his work.
Time wasted for Skype chat: 10 min
Time wasted for Skype call: 20 min
Time wasted for stopping myself from doing any harm to the user: 30 min4 -

The whole class is approaching me to solve the assignment coding problems, in addition to it our professor is changing the way we code as i insisted him. I don't know if this is the result of my past sleepless nights.

A really sad story of my cousin's carrier,
My cousin was a smarter guy in math during school grades but there comes his devil aunt and uncle during his high grades forcing him and his family members to go for biology in high school. They just want to use my cousin for their benefit, as they own many medical stores in the town they can use my cousin in future in their field. The uncle reached the school's principal and confirmed his admission in biology giving bribe.
Here where my cousin's carrier starts to demolish, as he was interested in math but he was forcefully admitted in biology class.
It was all ok till high school but further the uncle fought with family members misguiding them and took cousin's admission in pharmacy discipline in a university offering bribe. Here the min problems starts, As he is not interested in pharmacy he is failing in the exams and now he is under a great depression.
PS : The uncle ruined whole carrier of my cousin just for his future monetary benefits.12 -

When you answer the same question, from the same guy, for the Nth time about why this thing you developed N months ago works as it was designed, based on his requirements.
And at the end you can't really be mad, because he is super friendly and being sorry for that... again... -

Ahhhhh.... Now i want to really know how developers make softwares, ROMs, chatbots using ML and all these type of stuff.
- When i go through the guide for making ROM for a smartphone or a chatbot the writer asks the reader to take the code from github, everybody just give github link and move on. None tells how the developer wrote that bunch of code. I really want to learn core concepts behind all this. I know how to code but i can't apply it in real life applications. For me there is no bridge which connects coding to end products. I don't know what to do next?4 -
I've talked with my friend about what does that mean to work as QA. It seems all they do is watching yet vids with kittens and slacking off, and basically they are useless.
But then, it clicked. They are people to blame first if shipped product have bugs.
I wonder if one day, one dev just thought(after getting reprimanded by his boss for bugs in the final product): "hey, I don't need to listen to this, we can hire a guy for that!1 -

I don't understand why some people take computer science as their stream, while they don't know anything in it. Those majority people in most of the universities take computer science seeing other people's rush. In my University 70 % of the people even dont know the ABC of programming. These mad annoying people just ruin the merit list. 😠😠8

I have troubles running docker and daemon on ubuntu linux cli installed on windows 10, tried to solve all possible mistakes but no result. Windows is a bullshit, Ubuntu linux cli for windows is not fully fledged.8
