FORCED ANTI-ADBLOCK, shitton of ads (some of which are extremely invasive and dangerous), autoplaying sidebar video WITH SOUND ON, that fucking social sidebar & collapsed navigation, and their mind-bogglingly irrelevant, frustratingly obnoxious, & totally pointless Quote of the Day, which itself has ads and A FORCED COUNTDOWN to go to the fucking article you went there to read to begin with.

The articles themselves on Forbes are solid, so why do they have to ruin it with this shit? I will never go to a Forbes link again. No article is worth facing their torture chamber.

If you ever decide to make a software, contact the DBeaver developer team and ask them what they did, then do everything exactly the opposite and I'm sure your software will be the most complete, beautiful, bug-free software in the world. Recently there has been questions on whether there's a developer oriented dating service which made me think of buiding one.
On research I noticed that people have tried but you always end up with more people from the outside.
So I decided to make my service as developer friendly and user unfriendly as possible.
it's more command based rather than normal click and touch inteefaces.
More like the shortcuts on your ide or the terminal commands.
As part of my research involved talking to other developers and came the desire for more opinions.
here's what I have:
- Github sign in/up only
- Link github stats to account
- Messages (obviously )
- links to your social accounts
- use of devrant avatar
What am looking for is:
+ what do you guys need from a dating service.
+ name you musts, avoid the ones named by others
+ name what you expect to know about the person on the other side before talking to them and before meeting with them.

Fuck Oracle, fuck you oracle! The stupidest shittiest worst nightmare company with the most user-unfriendly, productivity-killing, illogical, stupid pile of software garbage products ever! And unfortunately I want to extends my worm-fucks to all Oracle employees and maintainers and to the whole fucking community of shit that made up oracle-community and to every conscious being who ever liked, enjoyed or have found the slightest genuine interest of any product tagged "oracle".

I installed the pile of shit a.k.a Oracle 18c and imported a dumb file locally, everything was working in the slightest amount of the word (fine) before it turns to nightmare. I created a C# client to call a stored procedure in that shit of a database engine. I kept getting error related to the parameter types, specifically one which is custom type of Table of numbers. It turns out that the only of doing this is through that shit they called (unmanaged driver), the "managed" doesn't support custom types. So I had to install another package of shit they call (odbc universal install) "universal my a$$ by the way", at that moment, where everything just crashed and stopped working. I spent 3 hours trying to connect to the fucking database to no avail. I shockingly found a folder in my desktop folder called (OracleInstallation) and all windows services related to oracle installation "suddenly" got somehow (re-routed) to that folder.
In conclusion, fuck oracle.

why do all erp solutions i know have a poor design?

one of you guys surely works for a company which sells erp solutions. as i am a user AND a programmer.

i just have to ask: do you have the feeling that your UI is bad?
and if - why is it like this?

i dont want to attack someone. just want to know the reason why all of the solutions i saw have bad UI or are just "user-unfriendly" (like you would say in german :D)

Not only did your update render all my VM's unusable, but the new AppStore seems a joke. This new icon there if a piece is downloading or installing or whatever. I cannot tell what it should tell me. That an alien took a crap on my display? There's no percentage, nothing indicating what's actually happening. Is this your understanding of user experience through obscurity? - shunning the user from any useful information, hiding everything behind some nice looking vapourware?

In a meeting about how to make the app I am working on worse. They want the same ad to pop up every ten minutes during live video to plug and get sign ups for a newsletter. And in mobile they want it to take over the entire screen. It's so user unfriendly.
